Delighted to announce the wonderful addition to the exhibitions this year and the latest feat of model engineering, that is the Bell Rock Model Lighthouse. Designed and constructed by Bravo Delta Models. The journey started back in late 2018, with developments underway quickly the designs were flowing. Then by late 2019 the Covid19 pandemic struck bringing the project to a halt. By March 2020 there was a time when it was touch and go for the project and it looked as if it would never be completed. As this was such a rare opportunity for the team at Bravo Delta Models to bring such an iconic lighthouse of this size from design to construction, they kept in contact while the months passed and they were furloughed. The next update to the project came with more bad news, global supply issues with shipping containers and as such paint shortages struct the company. With the lack of paint the project was due to remain an unfinished work, while we again discussed what to do. We decided to put a hold on the project once more while we waited to see how things would develop due to the Covid19 Pandemic and the postponement of any exhibitions too. In late 2021 the news was looking more positive for the team, and as time slowly passed, the news of the paint delivery meant the project could now be completed. Spring 2022, the model was now ready for packing and shipping, being dispatched direct to our first exhibition venue in 2 years at Saltcoats Heritage Centre Scotland where it is now in place taking centre stage on a hardwood base. We would like to thank everyone on the team at Bravo Delta Models for all the work that went into creating this exceptional Model Lighthouse.
