Sumburgh Head Lighthouse is located on Mainland Shetland Scotland. It is the oldest and best known lighthouse in Shetland.
It was established in 1821 being built by the engineering Robert Stevenson. This lighthouse is 91 meters above sea level.
Tower: The tower is painted white, being 17 metres in height. There are 52 steps to the top of the tower.
Light Character: Flashing (3) White every 30 Seconds
Location: Latitude 54°51.231'N Longitude 001°16.515'W
The accommodation is now available to hire and there is also a visitor centre and cafe.
