First Scottish Island Exhibition
We are delighted to announce our first ever Scottish Island Exhibition. In Addition it is the first time our collection will be on public display over the winter period. Come along for a visit to the Garrison House between 10 am and 3.30 pm open everyday. Please check the Garrison House website for winter holiday closure dates.
Following The Lights Exhibitions working in collaboration with North Ayrshire Heritage and Culture and the Garrison House Museum Isle of Cumbrae the exhibition will continue the Visit Scotland Theme year with Year of Stories 2022.
The exhibition will feature the original Fresnel Lens used at the Clyde Lighthouse Trust lighthouse Little Cumbrae and is the first time an original former lighthouse lens from Clyde Lighthouse Trust will feature as part of the exhibition. Together with photographs, colour archive video and artefacts, the lighthouse keepers stories and that of their families will be told. Items on display from the Following The Lights collection include Trinity House artefacts as well as Clyde Lighthouse Trust and Northern Lighthouse Board artefacts.
The exhibition started on Friday 15 July and will run until further notice potentially June 2023.
